I’m a multidisciplinary creative based in Manchester. My practice is largely informed by the study of Visual Anthropology which uses innovative and sensory methods to represent and understand divergent human experiences.
Whilst my formal training was in film making and photography; I also experiment with tactile art forms such as print-making and painting. My approach is participant-led, aiming to facilitate the expression of personal histories which mainstream discourses have excluded.
I am absolutely delighted to be co-curating YDF26 for the 10th anniversary of the festival. I’m particularly looking forward to delving into Peshkar’s archive of previous work and discovering even more about how the organisation has developed to the present-day. With our multidisciplinary backgrounds, John and I are excited to celebrate Peshkar’s last decade while creating space for an innovative future.
