We’re thrilled to announce that Peshkar has been selected for the Cultural Bridge 2026-2027 programme - a bilateral initiative celebrating artistic partnerships between the UK and Germany. Our project, Bridging Voices: Youth Arts for Inclusion, is one of 20 partnerships chosen from across both countries.
We’ll be working with Miteinander leben e.V. (Living Together), based in Mölln, Schleswig-Holstein. Founded in 1992 following racially motivated arson attacks that claimed three lives, Miteinander leben has spent over three decades using education, arts, and encounter-based projects to foster peaceful coexistence and counter discrimination. Their youth programmes, including GESTÄRKT and SHARE MY MUSIC, use creative expression as a tool for remembrance, understanding, and community resilience.
It’s a partnership with real depth. Both organisations were founded in the early 1990s, both are rooted in places with complex histories, and both share a deep commitment to using creativity as a force for democratic participation and inclusion. The project runs from April 2026 to March 2027.
“This partnership connects two communities with a shared purpose. Working alongside Miteinander leben e.V. - an organisation dedicated to building a more just society through arts and dialogue - reinforces our commitment to ensuring young people’s voices are heard, valued, and visible. No matter the obstacles, we will continue to forge pathways that make global artistic exchange a reality.”
- Abdul Malik-Ahad, Chair, Peshkar Productions
