Abdul Malik-Ahad

Abdul attended the first drama workshop in 1991, staying the course to become chair of the board of trustees, a role which he continues to this day.

A founder member of Ayna, which subsequently merged with Peshkar, he has overseen the setting up of Peshkar’s charity status as well as being instrumental in obtaining funding from Oldham Council, the European Regional Development Fund and Peshkar’s continuing status as a National Portfolio Company for the Arts Council England.

Abdul continues to live in Oldham with his wife Razia and their four children.
